Crystal Palace vs Leicester team news

Vicente Guaita is in contention to start from Palace as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury, with the goalkeeping taking part in first-team training this week. Sam Johnstone is also close to a return.

Joachim Andersen is a doubt after pulling out of the Denmark squad having picked up injury in the warm-up against Arsenal before the international break.

Harry Souttar is a fitness concern for Leicester, after he returned early from international duty. The defender picked up an ankle injury in Australia’s win over Ecuador, and a late decision will be made over his availability against Palace.

Jonny Evans could also miss out with a muscle injury, while Youri Tielemans reamins on the sidelines with an ankle problem.

Roy Hodgson will hope to have Vicente Guaita fit and available this weekend

Crystal Palace vs Leicester prediction

The return of Hodgson will surely give Palace some sort of lift, though it’s unlikely to bring a swift return to goalscoring form.

Neither side are convincing at all and with it likely to be a tense encounter with so much on the line, the points could well be shared.

Draw, 1-1.
