Dean Holden sets Crystal Palace loanee new Charlton target after goal at Cambridge

He’s hit double figures for goals already this season – now Charlton boss Dean Holden is challenging Jes Rak-Sakyi to add even more to his tally.
The Crystal Palace loanee has excelled during his stint in SE7 and made it 10 goals for the campaign with the second during Charlton’s 2-1 win at Cambridge this afternoon.
He also bagged an assist for the opener as he set up Miles Leaburn – which makes it five for the year in that column as well.
When asked about how tough it will be to see Rak-Sakyi return to his parent club at the end of the campaign, Holden said: “I’m looking at it as a glass half full that we’ve got him for another nine games. Let’s see what happens beyond that.
“10 goals and five assists is really excellent for a young player on his first loan. A fantastic example of a young player going out and playing men’s football as opposed to staying comfortable in that under 21s environment.
“Now he’s got to reset his targets. Can he get 15 goals, can he get 7, 8 or 10 assists? That’s got be the challenge for him.”
