The Royal Horticultural Society declares TV personality Carol Klein RHS Iconic Horticultural Hero of 2023
The Royal Horticultural Society has announced popular plantswoman and TV personality Carol Klein as the RHS Iconic Horticultural Hero of 2023.
Mrs Klein’s new title will see her create a garden at this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, showing from July 4-9.
The garden will be a celebration of plants, packed full of take-home ideas to inspire everyone into gardening.
Divided into six main habitats: wetland, woodland, hedgerow, meadow, moor and mountain and seaside, the garden will showcase some of the plants which thrive in these different settings.
Mrs Klein, an RHS Ambassador, said: “It’s very flattering to have been named the RHS Iconic Horticultural Hero. “I’ve always loved nature, plants and gardening and am lucky that I have been able to forge a career out of my passion.”
Mrs Klein intends to be at the garden as much as possible during the show to talk to visitors about how to propagate and discuss a shared love of plants.
