Unai Emery’s 12 Arsenal Signings Where Are They Now?
Arsenal are yet to make any major moves in the transfer market after narrowly missing out on the Champions League.
The club have seen Alexandre Lacazette leave this week, furthering their need to bring in some new faces in attack. That remains the focus amid continued links with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Gianluca Scamacca. Mikel Arteta has concerns over the club’s approach in the market however.
The Emirates hierarchy remain heavily involved in negotiations which could yet cost them. Last summer’s recruitment was originally criticised before several players began to prove their worth and silence the doubters. These are the latest rumours coming from north London.
Arteta frustrated by approach
Arteta is growing frustrated with the Arsenal hierarchy as he fears their approach could cost them in the transfer market with Jesus attracting interest from elsewhere.
The Gunners are looking to recruit without the lure of Champions League football having lost out to Tottenham in the race for fourth place late in the season. Arteta has seen several forwards depart in recent months, leaving him short in attack.
More firepower is therefore a priority this summer and the City forward is a top target. However, the club insist all major additions must be green-lighted by their American owners, which Arteta fears could cost them in the market, reports the Daily Mail.

Leno eyes London stay
Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno looks set to leave the club this summer, with Fulham in talks with the German shot-stopper.
The arrival of Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United last summer saw Leno become second-choice at the Emirates Stadium. Ramsdale has thrived for the Gunners and become one of their most important players, both on and off the pitch.
And with Matt Turner set to arrive this summer from New England Revolution, Leno is now surplus to requirements. The Athletic report that Fulham are in talks to sign Leno this summer and he is one of their ‘more favoured candidates’. They also report that the goalkeeper is keen to remain in London.
Xhaka attracting Bundesliga attention
Granit Xhaka has emerged as a target for Bayer Leverkusen as Arsenal step up their bid to land Youri Tielemans from Leicester.
The German side are planning for Champions League football next season for the first time in three seasons and are looking to add some experience to their squad. Xhaka offers that and the fact Gunners boss Mikel Arteta wants Foxes ace Tielemans is all the notice the Swiss star needs about his long-term future at the Etihad.
The Arsenal star, 29, is well regarded in Germany after a successful four-year stint with Borussia Moenchengladbach. He left them for Arsenal in 2016 and has had a mixed time in north London.
