Shock as man and woman found dead at flat

A man and woman have been found dead at a flat in Halesowen. Their bodies were found at an address in Bournebrook Crescent at around 6.40am on Friday morning, March 25, say police.

West Midlands Police said their deaths will “no doubt come as a shock” to neighbours and the local community. However officers say it is an isolated incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: “The bodies of a man and woman were found at a flat in Halesowen yesterday morning. We were called to the address in Bournebrook Crescent at around 6.40am following concerns for the welfare of the people inside.

“A man and woman were found inside and sadly pronounced dead at the scene.” An investigation is now underway and a post-mortem is set to take place.

Det Insp Laura Harrison, from Force CID, added: “An investigation is underway to find out what has taken place. No doubt this will come as a huge shock to neighbours and the local community.

“But we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider public.”

Post mortems will take place next week to understand exactly how the man and woman died. Anyone with information is asked to get in touch with West Midlands Police via its Live Chat or by calling 101 quoting log 502 of March 25.
